What are common beliefs and assumptions among anatomists about the quality of medical education? In 2021 we have asked Central European anatomists if they have ever heard about global standards in medical education. Only 7 % admitted that they were aware of specifically WFME standards (World Federation of Medical Education). A better understanding of global standards could help anatomists debunk prevalent myths about the quality and prestige of medical education.
