Optimizing the impact of public policies in favour of research and innovation facilities in the field of medical technologies
Medical technologies are a key sector for the future in Europe by bringing solutions to reduce healthcare costs in a context of ageing population. With the emergence of new and cross-sectoral technologies, it is one of the most innovative high-tech sectors which faces a strong world competition requiring each time more innovation.
In this context, public authorities at regional level need to contribute to strengthen the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) ecosystem in favour of innovative medical technology industry in generating economic growth, creating jobs and providing solutions for patients and healthcare systems in the regions.
Our objective is to improve public policies in favour of RDI facilities to be more adapted to the specificities of the medtech sector.
Thanks to the exchange of experience between regions and identification of best practices, the partners will be able to implement new solutions to improve their regional policies, in particular:
Pilot actions are implementation-related activities dedicated to testing a new approach. This usually refers to the transfer of existing practices between partner regions. But it can also relate to a new initiative jointly designed by the partner regions during phase 1 and jointly implemented in phase 2. As reflected in the present form, pilot actions are possible under Interreg Europe under strict conditions only, and the description provided in the form should be as detailed and as clear as possible.
Title of pilot action is „Effective promotion and marketing for the better utilisation of medical technology research and development infrastructures”
