Recommendations - Mental Health Management

Recommended by whom?

The following recommendations were formulated based on the literature review and analysis of results of the survey tools that aimed to find out the opinions of selected groups of Central European anatomists and educators from Cambridge on Mental Health Management at the workplace.

Recommendations for anatomists:

-Mental health must be treated as a priority in order to improve the educational environment.

-Universities should ensure resources to support the mental health of teachers.

-Universities should make mental health services available, like counseling and training in the fields of stress management, communication, and pedagogical methods.

-Universities should adopt workplace policies that promote work-life balance, such as flexible working hours and less administrative burden.

-Feedback should be collected regularly from teachers and students to improve mental health support.

-For teachers, it can be useful to use self-assessment tools such as the Mini-Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (MOLBI), which can help to identify early signs of burnout.

-Teachers should provide consistent, constructive feedback to students, that helps academic progress and creates a supportive, positive atmosphere during the classes.
