What are common beliefs and assumptions among anatomists about modern pedagogical frameworks in medical education? In 2021 we have asked Central European anatomists if they have ever heard about student-centered pedagogical approaches. While 27% were aware of such a concept, only 14% stated knowing how to manage quality in this pedagogical framework. Importantly, less than 5% were confident in their stated competence. A better understanding of modern pedagogical frameworks could help anatomists improve the quality and prestige of medical education more effectively.
