E! 12576 HABRIA NEMZETI PROJEKT
PTE is participating as a consortium partner in the HABRIA project under the Call for proposals for the Support for Participation in Joint EU Initiatives (2018-2.1.5-NEMZ).
The project will be implemented by the Beneficiaries as members of an international consortium under the EUROSTARS programme of the European Union, according to the terms of the international call for proposals E!12576 HABRIA, approved by the EUREKA Secretariat.
The aim of the project is to implement the research and development tasks undertaken by the Hungarian participants (R&D Ultrafast Lasers Kft. and University of Pécs) of the E! 12576 HABRIA project. The Eurostars-2 project aims to develop a laser workstation for micromachining of composite materials based on a combined 2.1 micron wavelength, solid-state laser and laser beam technology.
In addition to Hungarian participants, the project involves German and Austrian industrial companies and researchers from the Vienna University of Technology (TUW). The international consortium leader, Menlo Systems GmbH, is led by Prof. Theodor Hansch, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2005 for his pioneering achievements in laser physics.
The laser workstation being developed will enable micromachining of composite materials used in the automotive and aerospace industries.
