Open Call for SMEs and Innovators

The RTIT project launches an open call for SMEs and innovators in the Danube Region to boost innovation in sustainable, bio-based, and advanced materials. This initiative connects small and medium enterprises, research organizations, and stakeholders through knowledge transfer and demonstration activities aimed at accelerating research and technology transfer.
The project focuses on three key material fields:
•    Sustainable Materials: Derived from renewable biological sources like agricultural or forestry by-products, including bio-polymers, mycelium-based composites, and natural fibers. This category targets SMEs developing sustainable alternatives for packaging, construction, and product design.
•    Bio-based Materials: Emphasizing materials and processes that minimize environmental impact, such as recyclable materials, low-emission production, and circular economy solutions. Relevant sectors include eco-construction, energy-efficient production, and sustainable product redesign.
•    Advanced Materials: Covering smart and functional fibers, agricultural and industrial coatings, lightweight composites, and self-healing construction materials. Nanomaterial research is excluded unless directly related to these applications.
SMEs and innovators interested in accelerating their development in these areas are encouraged to participate and benefit from RTIT’s collaborative network across the Danube Region.
